Acquisition adds eight billboard faces along a key Blairsville corridor

SYLVA, N.C. — September 18, 2026 — Allison Outdoor Advertising has expanded its presence in the Blairsville and Union County, Georgia market with the acquisition of two billboard structures located just east of the Blairsville city limits.

The transaction, which closed September 15, includes BLA-951 and BLA-952, two stacked billboard structures totaling eight static advertising faces. Both locations sit less than one mile east of the Blairsville city limits along a key commercial corridor serving traffic traveling between Blairsville and Young Harris.

The acquisition is a strategic addition to Allison Outdoor’s existing Blairsville inventory. With the newly acquired locations, the company now operates 54 static billboard faces and five digital billboards in the Blairsville/Union County market.

“We love the Blairsville market. It’s one of the strongest growth areas across our footprint, and we continue to see significant demand from both local businesses and regional advertisers looking to reach this market,” said Claude Dicks of Allison Outdoor Advertising. “With Blairsville’s tight sign ordinances and limited opportunities for new inventory, the chance to acquire eight faces along a key corridor made a lot of sense for us. We’re excited to have completed the acquisition and to continue growing our presence in the market.”

The newly acquired structures provide advertisers with additional opportunities to reach motorists traveling both eastbound and westbound between Blairsville and Young Harris. The locations also expand Allison Outdoor’s coverage on the eastern side of the Blairsville market and complement the company’s existing static and digital inventory throughout Union County.

The acquisition reflects Allison Outdoor’s continued strategy of growing within its existing markets by adding quality billboard inventory in areas where advertiser demand remains strong and opportunities for new outdoor advertising structures are limited.

Blairsville has become an increasingly important market within Allison Outdoor’s regional footprint, with demand coming from both locally owned businesses and regional advertisers seeking to reach residents, visitors and travelers throughout North Georgia.

Companywide, Allison Outdoor currently operates 1,147 billboard faces, including 49 digital displays, across its regional footprint.
